So much so, am heading back there again in a couple of weeks - this time on break just to sit at covent garden, walk by the canals of camden town, have the best 'chicken Tikka Masala' and sit by a country-side pub getting lost in the beautiful country side. I promise to bring back for you some great ideas and ofcourse a date on when my first book will be ready and on sale. Promise!

It's been a great year. Thank you Lord. Thank you. I changed jobs, got into a regional role within the Middle East region, for the world's largest logistics firm. I have finished my first book, and hope to have it released in 09 (I know it will).

In the meantime, there is a set of really cool humanitarian postcards that have been created by the talented Hema Jog (www.gdoworld.com) and sold by cool friends Mamta and Nihar @ Mumbai's coolest store 'Tribal Route' (www.tribalroute.com). Go there, pickup the cool stuff they have and a set or two of my postcards. The postcards are based on various verses that I have written ranging from love, peace, humanity and faith. Go get them.

More happy news, my second film as director – The Messenger will now be officially screened at 5 film festivals across 5 countries, i.e. UK, USA, Egypt, Thailand and South Africa. There are more to come. Keep me in your prayers. I therefore say '2009 is the year of the Messenger'…in every sense.

Nov 08

Tagore's second film 'The Messenger' will be screened at 7 film festivals across 5 countries over 2009. Will publish the names of these festivals in the next few weeks as soon as I receive the official invites. God has been very kind to me and my team.

In Dec 08, my first set of greeting cards will be on sale exclusively at one of Mumbai's most coolest stores - Tribal Route. If you are in Mumbai go and visit the store and ask for the 'Tagore - A Dozen Times' pack, and send them to your friends

Oct 08

Tagore is invited as a guest speaker at the School of Audio Engineering (SAE- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAE_Institute) at their Dubai campus. Am excited as Bin Moksh 2 is now getting ready for festival submisssions. Keep this in your well wishes and prayers

Sep 08

I have completed the edits of Bin Moksh 2 - The Messenger and it now is in the safe hands of my bro - Cassy, to finish off the soundtrack. it looks good. Worked with a new post-production technical team too. Great Stuff.

More importantly, India did me good. I re-discovered myself as I was drowning in the corporate world. got a balance back on now. Have started working on 'the Forgiveness' a short film that I consider to be like nothing I have ever done before, and friends who have heard it agree. I WILL shoot the film in Jan 09 and have it ready by Mar 09 for the festival circuit.

Aug 08

Something to do from within a airport lounge eh? So do check out the blog (http://mixbhaji.blogspot.com) and more importantly check out my writing about London at http://mixbhaji.blogspot.com/2008/05/travelogue-jaspal-and-all-other-things.html

Apr 08

I have completed filming Bin Moksh - The Messenger, the second chapter in the trilogy. The film was shot over 2 days on the 25th and 26th of April and then for a couple of scenes on the 1st of May. The film saw a bigger canvas, more technicians than the previous, even a purpose built set and boasted of a cast of more than 25 people, from different nationalities. Now, starts the post production work which I am hoping to wrap up in record time too. Wish me luck. Stills coming up very very soon. I promise.

On the work front, I have now officially moved on to DHL Exel Supply Chain (DESC) as their regional IT director for the Middle East, still based out of Dubai. So far I am really enjoying the challenges of this dynamic industry and corporate too.

Finally for the month, I must hint at another exciting project that is coming up (I do this only so that I cannot change my mind about doing it. LOL). I cannot reveal a lot right now, but all I will say is that by the end of the year you will find it on Amazon, BarnesAndNoble etc. Do the maths, and you'll figure it out.

Mar 08

As promised, here is a clipping from my recent peace and humanity show in Goa. You can watch it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5B5hqNJz_c8

This month has also been about preparing for my next big thing that starts in April, watch this space, as next month I promise not to just tell you what it is, but show you stills from it too.

Feb 08

Well, I did it. I had my first performance before a home crowd. Goa's lovely cartoonist had a week long festival "Alexyz e Os Amigos' at the prestigious Fundacao Oriente. Every night Alexyz had one of his friends come and talk on various topics. On the second last day of the festival, I took my peace and humanitarian cause to my home town. My first Goan audience. I was worried, I was apprehensive, but my dear Remo assured me 'that I would be ok'. I guess I was. The crowd consisting of Goans, other fellow indians and westerners, all of who reside in GOA, attended the show, and everyone of them met me personally after my talk. I got to share the night's billing with Bondo, one of India's leading percussionist. My personal moment here was that for the first time, my parents saw me do what they had, until then, only heard I did. My peace show!!. I promise to post pictures of the night soon.

Also this month, was about Bollywood. Trying to spread my wings, there are promising leads that have been established. Say a prayer that these will work for me. Also, I have another feather in my cap, I've been photographed by 'the' Subi Samuel. Once the photo(s) are done and ready I'll share them with you guys. Awesome.

Jan 08

Happy new year to all of you. May you all have a safe, blessed and prosperous new year. This year I'm going to spend more time with Alia, annoy, love and tease her more. May you all be loved and annoyed too by your other halfs.

Nov 07

Tagore spends time In India and specially Goa this month and in doing so, gets his next commercial film to work on. The writing will start soon and I am very excited about this one. If the character of ALAG was close to my heart, this next film is all about the glue that keeps my life together.

I've met some wonderful people this month, and even re-visited childhood hero Remo Fernandes (http://www.remofernandes.com), the first famous person I wanted to ever be like. Its' the second time in my life that I have sworn that I will one day work on something with this amazing guy.

Another cool-dude, 'son of the Goan soil' and cartoonist - Alexyz (http://www.alexyztoons.com) has invited me to be a part of something great that he is working on, in Feb 08. I feel honoured and grateful to be a part of his work. Really watch this space for more.

Last but not least, fellow Goan, annoying brother but very gifted musician - Cassy Lobo and myself have taken an oath, to tell the world about one of Goa's most beautiful love ballads. I know what we've sketched, and believe me when I say that you will fall in love....in Goa....forever.

Oct 07

This month I haven't had any time to finish any creative stuff. Infact I did not have much time to do anything creative. Sorry about that. I've been buried in work and more work. I never mention my day job on this site do I? Well the fact is that I work with General Motors (yeap the biggest automobile company in the world), and am based out of their Dubai office. Again within the technology department, I have spent the past few months trying to make a mark for myself here. Wish me luck.

Incidentally, I did take my first ever 'tourist-type' holiday this month. I went to Sri Lanka with Alia, Tarun and Pallavi. It is an amazing country - beautiful is an understatement. I call it "God's own back garden". I have promised myself that I will go there atleast once a year. While I was there I was so inspired to write, but this was my promise to Alia to spend 'quality-time' with her, but yeah Sri Lanka did awaken my uncultured soul and I felt connected with something beautiful, all over again. I am also hoping to add my travelogs to this site soon, stuff that I wrote about Detroit, Seoul and Sri Lanka.

Dec 06

It's about Goa , Goa and lots more Goa, with a slight dash of Mumbai & Bollywood thrown in. Tagore spends the month taking his wife Alia, to India for the very first time. From the street food in Mumbai, to rubbing shoulders with bollywood folk at the party to launch Subi Samuel and John Abraham's calendar. From great sea food, palm trees and beaches of Goa, to premiering his film BIN-MOKSHA exclusively for his wife, thousands of miles in the air, in business class on the way back, it's all been about family, their Goon wedding reception at the JW Marriott.

A lesson learnt from all of the above, thanks to the wisdom of some elders & friends in Goa, Mumbai and Dubai. Tagore will try to take things easy, concentrating on life and writing mainly on his cinema offers.

Wishing you all, a very happy, blessed and peaceful new year 07. Be the light and the strength that world needs to be, to become a much more lovely and peace-filled place.

Nov 06

It's been a hectic month, unfortunately on the full time job front. However, December will take me back to Mumbai and specially GOA, wherein I know my creative juices will flow to the maximum. There are 3 major things coming up in the next two months, and I promise not to disappoint you all.

Going back a few steps, I'd like to remind and encourage all of you to visit and become a part of http://www.worshipsoul.com/ It's a lovely site and I put it in there primarily so that we could unite in prayer for the folk who need us to pray with them. Thank you.

The month has ended on an extremely positive note. This entire month was about inner healing, medical science, more doctors who have become friends now. I really feel that this month was the battle, wherein I fought back a lot of my demons - emotional and medical and survived. So there has been some writing work that has started only towards the later part of this month. Watch this space for more.

I don't publicize this much, but do visit my blog at http://versesoflife.blogspot.com
